COMPENSATION

MULTAN,Jan 12th:The affectees of December 8, bomb blast are forced to spend their chilled nights in camps in Qasim Bela (Multan) because neither Federal nor Provincial Governments provided any compensation to more than 100 families whose homes and shops caved in. The affectees Malik Muhammad Arshad Khor, Ghulam Hussain, Munir Ahmed, Imran Awan, Masih-ullah Khan Sakina bibi, Rehmat Elahi,Zarina bibi, and Mukhtar Elahi told this correspondent ,"we are voters of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani who and his younger brother Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gilani visited this area with the interval of merely two hours during election but now they did not visit to this area even for pray to departed souls,"They said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also did not visit this area pretending that it was a Prime Minister's constituency. They asked where should they go for help/ compensation.Our homes are roofless,our widows are paneless, How can we save ourselves from the coldest season. They demanded compensation of at least 50 million for the 100 affectees, besides payment to injured persons and deceased families.THe affectees have appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take sou moto action to compensate and rehabilitate them. The affectees have threatened to observe hunger strike in front of Prime Minister house in Multan if their grievances were not redressed forthwith.
