MULTAN,Jan 28th:Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League has said that corruption had increased to an alarming extent in all institutions and there should ruthless but fair accountability of ASif Ali Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Mian Shahbaz Sharif .Addressing a Labour conference organized by Workers Rights Commission here today he said that indiscriminate accountability and exemplary punishment would eradicate the corruption from the society. Hashmi said that Parliament and provincial assemblies failed to play their roles and to redress the grievances of masses and frame relief oriented laws and policies.He said that masses were running for a loaf of bread while dogs of the privileged class were taking cake.This disparity must be ended which developed a sense of deprivation among the people.Hashmi said that we would have to make our vote a “ scalpel “to oust the Jagirdars, Waderas, SArdars, from the parliaments. He said that present regime had written off the loan of Rs.2 billion following the suit of their predecessors.He admitted that exiosting set-up could not come upto the expectation of the Nation. He warned that country would be further weakened if we avoided the accountability. He said that present regime failed to execute the work on economy-rehabilitation programme .He asked whether all were angels during Pervez Musharraf’s era when no case of corruption was instituted against anyone.Hashmi said that MIan Nawaz SHarif had signed a MOU with Government of Japan for developing industrial zones along the Motor-way during his previous rule.but his Government was dissolved after three days. He said that there would have been monthly salary of workers at Rs.30,000 had the Japan developed its industrial zone in Pakistan.
