MULTAN, Jan 10th: Sher Zaman Qureshi and Muhammad Yousaf Zubair have been elected as President and General Secretary of District Bar Association Multan by bagging 851 and 882 votes respectively. Their opponents Waseem Mumtaz, Iqbal Mehdi Zaidi & Faiz Zahid Ameeq for President and Waheed Raza for General Secretary got 603, 221,24 and 587 votes respectively. Mian Bashir Ahmed has been elected as Vice President by securing 593 votes,his three opponents Fayyaz Ahmed 466, Mustafa Kamal 405 and Sardar Muhammad Hussain 212 votes. Shaikh Abdul Rauf was elected as Joint Secretary by bagging 979 votes, his opponent got Muhammad Ahmed Raja 691 and Finance Secretary Rashid Bashir Khan Sangla got 685 votes, his opponent Tanveer Hussain 515 Syed Anees Mehdi has been elected as Library Secretary while Azhar Hayat Baloch elected as auditor.
