MULTAN,Jan 11th:During the year 2009, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Pervez Rathore awarded punishments to 17,264 police officers and officials on the charges of corruption, faulty investigation, misuse of power and negligence which included: dismissal, removal from service, compulsory retired, recovery from pay/pension or amount, reduction in rank, forfeiture in service, withholding of promotion, reduction in pay, withholding of increment, censure and fine. The The CCPO awarded punishments to police officers and officials which included: 727 Inspectors, 1938 Sub-Inspectors, 1255 ASIs, 400 Head Constables, 9225 Constables, 3642 Traffic Wardens, 43 Senior Clerks, 27 Junior Clerks and seven Niab Qasid.According to facts and figures, in the year of 2009, CCPO awarded punishments of dismissal to 620 officials which included: seven Inspectors, six Sub-Inspectors, 25 ASIs, 16 Head Constables, 453 Constables, 88 Traffic Wardens, four Senior clerks and one Junior clerk. Similarly, he awarded punishment of removal from service to 126 officials which included: one Inspector, three Sub-Inspectors, seven ASIs, one Head Constable and 114 Constables. One ASI was awarded punishment of recovery from pay/pension of amount. Similarly, CCPO awarded punishments of reduction in rank to 117 officials which included: 26 Inspectors, 57 Sub-Inspectors, 20 ASIs, eight Head Constables and six Traffic wardens. He also awarded punishment of forfeiture of service to 2794 officials which included: 153 Inspectors, 437 Sub-Inspectors, 263 ASIs, 76 Head Constables, 1453 Constables, 405 Traffic Wardens and seven senior clerks. Likewise, CCPO also awarded punishment of withholding of promotion to 827 officials which included: 100 Inspectors, 325 Sub-Inspectors, 81 ASIs, 33 Head Constables, 284 Constables, three Traffic Wardens and one junior clerk. Moreover, he awarded punishment of reduction in pay to 256 officials which included: 137 Inspectors, 37 Sub-Inspectors, 9 ASIs, 19 Head Constables and 54 Constables. Similarly, he also awarded punishment of withholding of increment to 1324 officials which included: 44 Inspectors, 157 Sub-Inspectors, 76 ASIs, 19 Head Constables, 469 Constables, 549 Traffic Wardens, four senior clerks and six Junior clerks. Furthermore, the CCPO awarded punishments of censure to 7190 officials which included: 254 Inspectors, 789 Sub-Inspectors, 680 ASIs, 149 Head Constables, 3725 Constables, 1566 Traffic Wardens, 15 senior clerks, eight junior clerks and four Niab Qasids, whereas punishment of fine was awarded to 3985 officials which included: four Inspectors, 99 Inspectors, 98 ASIs, 76 Head Constables, 2662 Constables, 1025 Traffic Wardens, 13 Senior clerks, 11 Junior clerks and three Niab Qasids.
