MULTAN,April 5th:Former Punjab Governor Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar has announced to contest by-election in NA-178 MUZAFFARGARH-III as an independent candidate after a long interval in political activities, Jamshed Khan Dasti Ex-MNA who resigned last month after proving that his MA-Islamiat degree was fake is intended to contest poll on PPP ticket, Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed Khan chief of Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) and Mian Sajjad Hussain Qureshi Hashmi (Italy Walay) as an independent candidate.Election on this seat will be held on May 15.According to the notification of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) candidatures would be accepted by the returning officer on April 9, 10, scrutiny of nomination papers on April 12,13,appeals against acceptance or rejection of candidatures on April 17, Decision of the appeals by election tribunals on April 22, Withdrawal of nomination papers on April 23rd, publication of final list of candidates on April 24.
