PML-Q launched "South Punjab province" drive from Multan today

MULTAN, May 5th: Former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, on wednesday, has formally launched a campaign for establishment of a separate South Punjab province and said that next rallies would be organised in Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur cities. The rally began from SP Chowk and terminated at Chowk Nawan Shaher and lked by Ch.Pervez Elahi, Alhaj Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Sardar Jamal Khan Leghari, Abdul Rehman Kanju, Ch.Zaheer Ahmed, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Khurso-Bakhtiar .Thousands of people of Multan joined this big and impressive rally.Barriaster Taj Muhammad Khan Langah Chief of Pakistan Seraiki Party and Zul-Naurain Bhutta Chief of People's Seraiki Party also supported this rally and welcomed the PML-Q leadership in Multan. Addresing the rally Ch.Pervez Elahi said," we had allocated Rs.117 billion for South Punjab but Mian Shahbaz Sharif allocated only Rs.5 billion, Of them Rs.2 billion were withdrawn taking advantage of financial emergency.He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif had left the masses at the mercy of adventurists and went to SAudi Arabia under an agreement. but they ever told a lie that they did not go abroad under an agreement.But truth came to the knowledge of the masses.Then they admitted it.Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that both the brothers were visiting London(UK) frequently but they had no spare time to visit Multan and to redress the grievances of the masses. He said that they would shift to London whenever nation came to trouble.Elahi said his party as part of its commitment has raised the issue of Separate South Punjab province in its party’s meeting, Senate and provincial assembly. “We are formally launching the movement for creation of separate South Punjab province today ( Wednesday),” he said. “This is the demand of people of South Punjab and we will back this demand to make South Punjab a separate province on practical basis.”To a question, he said his party is trying to persuade the supporters of Bahawalpur province to join the South Punjab province move.
