MULTAN, Jan 31th:Parliamentarians of Multan asked the higher authorities to take a serious notice of the Lahore incident, in which an American diplomat
shot two youths dead. Senator Syed Javed Ali Shah of PML-Q, Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan MNA,PML-N, Jamshed Khan Dasti of PPP strongly condemned the Lahore incident and demanded of the government a transparent probe into the issue.They were of the view that the law should take its own course and the culprit be punished under the law of the land, adding that that a thorough investigation be conducted into the incident to ascertain whether the accused was associated with any spy agency.Makhdoom Javed Hashmi condemned the incident and urged the government to punish the acused according to the law of land.Zafar Ali Shah said it would be unacceptable to the nation if the person involved in the crime was set free without any trial.Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed Khan Chief of Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) demanded a fair trial of the accused, saying that the US authorities had detained Dr Aafia Siddqui without any charge and convicted her without any evidence.
